Multimedia Kiosk Design
 

ICE Tech provides an in-house Multimedia Design Service whereby we design and develop attractive user friendly welcome interfaces that are specifically designed to attract the user to the kiosk, to quickly communicate the functions of the kiosk and to provide as user friendly an experience as is possible.

We also partner with multimedia design specialists that have developed highly impressive kiosk interfaces for our clients over the last number of years. Please see attached some screenshot examples of interfaces deployed on ICE Tech kiosks.

ICE Control is specifically designed to basically allow a wide range of multimedia content to be securely displayed whilst in the background looking after the kiosk security, management and reporting issues.

The advantage of this model is that the Multimedia content can be separately developed with the sole requirement that it operates in Internet Explorer up to Version 6.0. Kiosk Application & Database Development
 

ICE Control has been designed with a wide range of functionality that provides a ready to go solution for most kiosk applications. However, some kiosk applications require additional functionality that is specific to the our customers unique application.

In this instance we offer our application development service whereby we either develop a stand alone application or in many instances build a module to ICE Control that will acheive the exact functionality required for that particular kiosk project.

The process behind customer application and/or database development is a 5 Step Process:

- The drawing up of an agreed Functionality Flow Diagram.
- An outline of the proposed Technical Architecture.
- The Development of the Code.
- Thorough Internal Application Testing.
- User Acceptance Testing.

Touch Optimisation

In many instances our clients wish to leverage their existing internet/intranet content and use our kiosks as an excellent means of securely presenting this content without changing it to the public. The advantage to this approach is cost effectiveness and speed.

However, it is advisable where feasible to consider the Touch Optimisation or Repurposing of your existing content so as to present the same data and functionality but in a much more user friendly format. This normally consists of stripping out unnecessary content and presenting the important content in as user friendly format as possible eg. in the case of Touch Optimisation, one would design a navigation system comprised of large clearly labelled buttons and one should ensure that content being displayed always fits on a single page thus not requiring scroll bars.

ICE Tech provides such a Touch Optimisation Service whereby we work with your existing content and where applicable your content management systems and create a new Touch Optimised stylesheet of that content.
